Five Elements

相生

Five rings for the five elements, arranged in the generating cycle: Metal begets Water, Water begets Wood, Wood begets Fire, Fire begets Earth, Earth begets Metal. Each stone sits in a closed bezel; the inside of each band bears its element in seal script.

Viên Mãn 圓滿

Complete and whole, with no beginning and no end.

A round bezel setting sits on a round band, forming a circle within a circle. Diamond is the hardest mineral found in nature; platinum keeps its white colour naturally, without plating.

Lưu Thủy 流水

Flowing water wears away stone: soft, yet enduring.

The band curves in two waves, flowing past the base of the setting in an S-shape and cradling the blue sapphire. The pointed end of the stone faces the fingertip. Platinum carries the colour of the Metal element, in keeping with the rule that Metal generates Water.

Tùng Bách 松柏

Pine and cypress stay green through all four seasons and stand upright in every kind of weather.

48 vertical fluted grooves recall a classical column and the bark of a pine. The four chamfered corners of the emerald cut reduce the risk of chipping; the closed bezel setting adds a further layer of protection.

Đan Tâm 丹心

A heart of cinnabar red: a flame that never goes out.

A knife-edge band, its sharp ridge running around the ring. One corner of the ruby points toward the fingertip like a rising flame.

Steady as a great rock: an heirloom to be handed down.

A square setting is placed edge-on, its flat top as smooth as a seal face. The Asscher cut, created in 1902, suits the spirit of an heirloom.
