Gold custody agreement

Key terms of the gold savings custody agreement: the gold is yours, kept apart from KBMC assets, insured, independently counted and withdrawable at any time.

Version 1.0Effective from 14 October 2026

Service status

The Gold savings service is being prepared for launch. This page publishes the key terms in advance so you can read and comment on them. The final agreement will be posted here on the day the service opens, once the legal file is complete. Nothing here is an offer to sell.

What the agreement is

The custody agreement is a contract for the safekeeping of property under the 2015 Civil Code. You buy gold from KBMC outright, with an invoice, then deposit those exact pieces with KBMC for safekeeping. It is not a gold account, not a deposit and not an interest-bearing investment.

Ten key terms

  1. Deposited property is 9999 gold in the form of art pieces, each with its own code, weight and purity stated on the invoice and the agreement schedule.
  2. Ownership passes to you on full payment. The agreement states that deposited property is not part of KBMC's assets.
  3. KBMC does not use deposited gold: it does not sell, lend or pledge it, does not use it as raw material, and pays no interest on it.
  4. Segregation: each client's pieces are sealed separately in the vault and recorded in a separate ledger, never pooled with trading stock.
  5. Insurance covers all deposited property against theft, fire and natural disaster, for no less than its value at the buying price.
  6. Counting: monthly by a control team independent of the vault; at year end witnessed by an independent auditor. Summary results are published on the website.
  7. Statements: you receive periodic statements and can check your item codes, weights and deposit dates at any time.
  8. Withdrawal: give one working day's notice and collect the exact coded pieces at the boutique. You may instead sell them back to KBMC under the Buy-back commitment.
  9. Compensation: if deposited property is lost or damaged through KBMC's fault, you choose between pieces of the same type, weight and purity, or cash at the 9999 selling price on the day of discovery.

Your right to inspect

  • See your own pieces in the vault by appointment, with two staff members present.
  • Have purity and weight re-tested on withdrawal.
  • Receive a copy of the annual count report.

Ending the agreement

You may end it at any time by withdrawing all your gold; fees for unused time are refunded pro rata. KBMC may end it only with 90 days' notice and full return of your property.
