Description

A moon resting on your hand

A small moon set upon the ring finger, marking the promise made before the wedding day. The first thing the eye finds is the natural oval diamond, approx. 9.1 mm long and approx. 6.5 mm wide, glowing white against 18K white gold. The slender, plain 2 mm band leaves open space around the stone, like the sky around a full moon.

An oval-cut diamond lifted on four prongs, its long axis running along the finger to make the hand look more slender. A two-tier basket sits hidden beneath the stone, on a plain, rounded 2 mm band.

Oval centre stone

A natural oval diamond of approx. 1.41 ct, set lengthwise along the finger like a rising moon.

Two-tier basket

Two tiers of white gold hide beneath the stone, holding the four prongs steady and opening a path for light to reach the base of the diamond.

Raised setting

The setting stands approx. 6.0 mm above the band, high enough for the oval to rise clearly when the hand is seen from the side.

Craftsmanship

The band and basket are cast as one piece in 18K white gold. The setter bends each prong to hug the edge of the oval under magnification, then polishes the 2 mm band until the metal reflects like a mirror.

How to wear

Presented on the day of the proposal, then worn stacked with the Moonlight Pavé Band on the wedding day, completing a moon with its band of stars.

Diamonds from 0.30 ct come with a report from an independent laboratory. Gold is true to its stated fineness and hallmarked. Lifetime care: free cleaning, polishing, prong tightening and stone checks at every boutique.

Delivery and returns

Care

Remove jewellery before swimming, sea bathing or heavy work. Wipe with a soft cloth and store each piece separately in its box. Bring it in for a professional clean every six months.
