A frame of 18K yellow gold shapes the rhombus around a round diamond of about 4.9 mm in diameter, the straight lines of the frame meeting the curve of the stone, neat at the hollow of the neck.

The rhombus frame is cast in 18K yellow gold, and the diamond is set in the frame by hand under magnification. The four edges are then polished to a crisp finish and the jump ring joining the chain is fitted.
