Five rights you have when buying jewellery in Vietnam

The 2023 Law on Consumer Rights Protection took effect on 1 July 2024. It covers every purchase of goods, including gold and diamond jewellery. Below are the five most practical rights and how Kim Bảo Minh Châu honours each.
1. The right to accurate, complete information
You are entitled to know purity, weight, stone type, origin, price and terms before buying. At KBMC the tag shows the three price components, purity, and metal and stone weights. Laboratory-grown diamonds are clearly labelled.
2. The right to choose
You decide whether to buy, free from forced bundles or add-on services. KBMC does not bundle insurance or require you to buy boxes, bags or engraving.

3. The right to personal data protection
Information you give, especially ID, is used only for the stated purpose. See our Privacy policy.
4. The right to complain, report and sue
You may complain directly to KBMC while keeping your right to approach consumer protection authorities or go to court. KBMC responds within 24 hours, decides within 7 working days, and sends the piece for independent testing when both sides disagree.
5. The right to compensation
If goods do not match the stated quality, quantity, purity or weight, you are entitled to compensation. KBMC lets you choose repair, exchange for equal value or a refund.
What you can do
- Read the tag and invoice before paying.
- Keep the e-invoice, digital warranty card and grading report.
- Pay large amounts through your account for a clear record.
- If something goes wrong, complain in writing and keep the tracking code.
