Since 10 October 2025, gold transactions from 20 million VND a day are paid through accounts. The rule protects buyers more than most people think.

Clients used to paying cash for gold are often surprised when staff ask for a transfer. This is not a Kim Bảo Minh Châu rule but a requirement for every gold business.

What the rule says

Decree 232/2025/ND-CP, amending Decree 24/2012/ND-CP on gold trading and in force from 10 October 2025, requires gold transactions worth 20 million VND or more in a day to be paid through the client's account and the gold business's account.

How KBMC applies it

Your total in a dayPayment

20 million VND or moreTransfer from an account in your name, or a domestic debit card linked to your account
  • Same-day transactions are added together. Two 12-million pieces bought morning and afternoon count as 24 million.
  • The paying account must be in the buyer's own name; KBMC matches the account holder to the invoice.
  • Website orders from 20 million VND have no pay-on-delivery option.

How it helps buyers

  1. Proof of payment. Your bank statement shows what you paid, to whom and when. In a dispute it is evidence no one can deny.
  2. Safety. No carrying tens of millions in cash to the shop and back.
  3. Clear provenance. When you resell, gift or pass on the piece, the invoice plus statement show it was bought lawfully.

The other direction

When KBMC buys gold back from you, payments of 5 million VND or more per person per day go by transfer to an account in the seller's name. Bring your account number when you sell.
