Description

The red thread of destiny

In Vietnamese legend, the matchmaking deities twist a red thread to bind two people to one another, and this ring places that thread upon the finger. Across a 24K gold band stamped with a weave like a rush mat, a row of deep red rubies runs in parallel with a row of white diamonds, the two colors traveling side by side like two people on the same road.

A 6 mm band of hard 24K gold stamped with a woven pattern, with a row of rubies and a row of diamonds at its center, like the red thread that binds two people together.

A row of rubies

Twenty-seven round rubies of approx. 1.1 mm, approx. 0.15 ct in total, join to form the red thread at the center of the band.

A parallel row of diamonds

Thirty-one diamonds of approx. 0.9 mm, approx. 0.09 ct in total, run alongside the red row like a second thread.

A 6 mm band

A 6 mm wide band of hard 24K gold, approx. 12.8 g at size 7, strong enough to hold the stones and the woven pattern for years.

Craftsmanship

The hard 24K gold band is stamped with a woven pattern on its outer surface. The artisan sets each ruby and diamond by hand under magnification, and finally polishes both edges of the band.

How to wear

Exchange at the engagement ceremony (lễ ăn hỏi), and wear with the Bamboo Joint Ring or the Four Blessings Earrings for family gatherings.

Diamonds from 0.30 ct come with a report from an independent laboratory. Gold is true to its stated fineness and hallmarked. Lifetime care: free cleaning, polishing, prong tightening and stone checks at every boutique.
