Description

The curve of a silk ribbon

A silk ribbon draped across the sleeve of an áo dài, lifted by the breeze into a soft curve: that is the form of this ring. The 18K white gold band rises and then sweeps down around a round diamond of approx. 0.63 ct, with six small stones laid along the wave like grains of sunlight resting on the silk.

The band undulates like a ribbon of silk around a four-prong center diamond, with side stones following the wave along both shoulders.

A four-prong center stone

A natural round diamond approx. 5.5 mm in diameter, held by four prongs to leave a wide view of the stone.

A wave along both shoulders

Six diamonds of approx. 1.1 mm, approx. 0.03 ct in total, follow the curve of the ring's shoulders on either side.

A soft, low profile

The setting rises approx. 4.6 mm above the surface of the band. The stone sits close to the hand, suited to the rhythm of daily life.

Craftsmanship

The wave of the band is sculpted and cast in one piece from approx. 3.0 g of 18K white gold. The setter raises four prongs and places the six side stones under magnification, and the ring is finally polished along the flow of the ribbon.
